Safe at last!
Meriam Ibrahim, who was originally sentenced to death in Sudan for 'Apostasy' has now landed in Rome. She was accompanied by her family, including her baby born in prison, after almost a month spent under the protection of the U.S. embassy in Khartoum. Last month the Sudanese government had blocked her from leaving the country claiming her travel documents were "falsified". It isn't clear yet if this ban was lifted but it can be confirmed that she is now in Italy.
